last night you got in my eye line
feels like it was a lifetime
i got in your head
ran my fingers thru all your anger
wrapped around like an anchor
held us by a thread
and i know its not your fault, gave it everything you had
can you see it's not my fault from where you’re at?
baby don’t forget when your famous
love’s anonymous, faceless
so show yourself to me
and come on back for me
waiting at the end of the century
i can’t sleep with a memory
so show yourself to me
and come on back for me
first kiss drawing blood like its lipstick
using it like a mystic
tells me who you’ve been
my arms start to look like a crossroads
we’re the only ones lost though
buried in between
and i know its not your fault, gave it everything you had
can you see it's not my fault from where you’re at?
and i know it’s not your fault, there was only one way out
can you see it's not my fault from where you’re at?
baby don’t forget when your famous
love’s anonymous, faceless
so show yourself to me
and come on back for me
waiting at the end of the century
i can’t sleep with a memory
so show yourself to me
and come on back for me

I love This Isn't Helping. The National is such a joyful band live, but always my go-to when I need a good cry in the privacy of my room. This album is already a favorite. Beautiful. HPayson

Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
